Traffic Source #1:

One Cent Per Visitor

We found a new favorite source for traffic for one cent per visitor. This is a pay to click company. The visitors you receive will be members of their program and will be clicking through to the link you provide because they are being paid to do so. Usually, that kind of traffic is completely worthless. But something about how this company set up their program makes it a gold mine! First of all, we see about 20% of the clicks we purchase for a penny actually make it to the target URL and move their mouse cursor with a browser that supports javascript.

That is actually extremely high. Our very best source of traffic (organic) generally has a 50% ratio. The other 50% probably consist of automated spiders from the search engines, people with javascript disabled or people who just clicked the wrong link and click the back button before the page fully loads. With some of our junk traffic sources, we see less than 1% of the clicks we purchase end up in our stats. This is the highest we have ever seen with a traffic source that costs only one cent per visitor. But they are still just being paid to click and will never take your desired action; right? Wrong!

In one test we did, we pushed this traffic to a squeeze page offering an ebook in return for their email address. We had a 25% opt-in rate! You can get your own copy of the squeeze page we used and the ebook we gave away here:

How is that possible? Partly it is how the system is set up. They are paid to visit a site and stay on that site for 30 seconds. The site is displayed in a frame which counts down the 30 seconds. So they might as well look around on the page; right? They do. The other thing is that this is a bidding system. You can bid any amount per visitor when you set up the campaign. Everyone bids exactly one cent though. So there isn't much incentive to cheat. The most you can be paid is 2 cents per minute or about $1.20 per hour.

That would normally attract third world country participants... and it probably does. But you can geo-target your ad for U.S. traffic only. I have no idea why the U.S. participants are using the system, but they are. One other targeting metric is critical. They call it "premium" members only. A premium member is someone who has purchased something from the company that offers this traffic. Maybe they purchased a campaign themselves. Or maybe they purchased a premium membership. In any case, they purchased something via the Internet. That means they are able to make purchases via the Internet. Always choose "premium members only" when you buy a campaign from this company.

We've run into dream sources of traffic like this in the past. The next catch is always quantity. How much traffic can they delivery? We received over 1,000 visitors per day on several tests. They can deliver a decent quantity. Hidden costs? Minimum purchases? It cost us $12 to do each test of 1,000 visitors. We bid a penny each so that should have been $10. So the $2 is some kind of hidden cost. There are no minimums though... at least not a minimum that matters. You can get significant traffic for $12.

In the test for the ebook squeeze page, we paid $12 for 1,000 visitors. We only saw 212 of those visitors (the 20% we mentioned). Of those 212 visitors, 51 entered their email address to get the free ebook. That is about 24 cents per name added to our list! That's a bargain! Here is another way you can use this cheap traffic in a very clever way. Some people use free methods of generating traffic. That's great. We recommend them too. Stay tuned for the best ways we have found to generate free traffic.

One of the best ways is to write an article or create a video and submit it to a very high traffic site. Many sites exist just for this purpose.

EzineArticles.com allows you to submit articles to them for free and they will publish them with a link back to your site after reviewing them (which can sometimes take weeks). That costs only the time to write and submit an article.

Sometimes you can get the articles provided to you by the site you are promoting (we provide you proven articles you can submit under your own name).

EzineArticles.com is one of the top 100 most visited sites on the Internet. You can get a ton of free traffic by using this strategy.

The leading video site works the same way only it is even easier. You don't have to wait for days or weeks for your video to be reviewed. It goes live on their site instantly. That site is YouTube.com. You can't get a link along with your video, but you can include your link right inside the video itself. We provide videos you can use for this too. Stay tuned for that. YouTube.com is one of the top 10 most visited sites on the entire Internet. In both cases, you have a lot of competition though. It is very common to upload an article or video and only get one view per month. That can be very discouraging. One way to break through all of the competition is to become a very popular article or video and get a lot of views. YouTube.com and many other sites (including article sites) show the most popular videos higher in their search results and recommend them more after similar videos are viewed and sometimes feature them as popular videos on their home page.

That sounds like a catch-22. You have to be popular and get a lot of views in order for YouTube.com to show your video more often so that you can get a lot of views. It is. Penny traffic can easily be used to break out of that catch-22 though. What if you created a video with a link to your URL where you send people to your hop link? Then you upload this video to YouTube.com. The video is catchy and gives some good information about weight loss. It ends with a URL and an offer for a free ebook. That URL has a form to capture email addresses and send them the ebook... and redirect them to our sales page via your hop link so you earn commissions when they purchase Fad Diets That Work. So far so good. But your video will probably only be viewed a few times a month without some help.

Now you purchase a campaign of 1,000 visitors from the company we are going to tell you about for $12. You send those 1,000 visitors to the URL on YouTube.com of the video you uploaded. Now we know you aren't really going to get 1,000 visitors to that video. But you will get around 200 visitors that count as views (we got 212 in our test). Now your video is popular. Over 200 people viewed it in a single day. YouTube.com's automatic software will notice that and start suggesting your video more often near the top of the search results when people search for terms like "weight loss" and "diet." Now instead of getting 2-10 views per month of your video, you start getting 50 or 60 per day for quite some time. And those 50 or 60 per day keep adding to your video view count and so your video rises more and more in the search results. It is also recommended as the next video to watch after people watch another related video.

It might even be showcased on the home page of YouTube.com as one of the most popular videos of the month or of all time. You can end up with millions of people viewing your video if that happens. Not everyone who watches the video will go to the URL you give at the end of the video. In fact, only a tiny percentage of people will do that. They have to type it in instead of clicking it, so not as many people will visit the URL you give because of the extra effort of typing it into the URL bar. Also YouTube.com video watchers aren't usually in a buying frame of mind. They know that if a URL is being given... even if you are promising a free Ebook... that you are probably selling something. So not as many people will visit the URL because they aren't interested in buying something.

However, if you make your URL short, easy to type and easy to remember... and you promise something of value for free (like our 188 page ebook), you can get 0.05% to 0.5% of viewers to continue on to the URL you give at the end of the video.

If you can get tens of thousands of people viewing your video (or in the extreme case of being showcased on the home page of YouTube.com... millions of people viewing your video) then you can end up with some significant traffic. Let's do some numbers: Let's say you spend a half hour creating and uploading a video to YouTube. Then you spend $12 to send this penny source of traffic to your video. Let's say that results in 10,000 views after a month of rising in the rankings from your initial seed of 200 viewers that cost you $12 to send to the video. Let's say only 0.1% of those viewing the video visit your URL after they see the video. That is 100 visitors to your URL.

This is high quality traffic. They saw a video about weight loss and they typed in the URL to get a free Ebook. So you can expect a high percentage to fill ou the form and give their email address. We had 46.6% of our visitors from YouTube videos enter their email address in our test of this method. That is 46 new prospects on your list. They also get redirected to our sales page after signing up to get their free ebook. Once again, this is very high quality traffic. They have taken several actions at this point that prove that they are interested in losing weight.

They have watched a video on YouTube.com about weight loss. They typed in the URL at the end of the video to get a free weight loss ebook. They read the page offering the free weight loss ebook. They typed in their name and email address to get the free weight loss ebook and now they are looking at a sales page for a weight loss product that costs only $39 and offers the best plan for losing weight ever conceived of in the history of mankind. What percentage actually purchased the product in our tests? An astounding 5.83%! That would work out to two or three sales in the above scenario. Your commission is $21.25 per sale so that would be $42.50 or $63.75 depending on whether two or three people purchased. Maybe that doesn't sound like it's worth the work and the investment. Afterall, it took you a half an hour and a $12 investment to pull off $42.50 in commissions. That's only about $30 profit for a half hour of work. Or $60 per hour.

But wait... there's more!

Remember that you have 46 new prospects on your list. The seven follow-up emails will sell another 2-5 customers and double or triple your profit with no additional work. Then you will have other offers after those seven emails for other products. That will double or triple your profit again. And your video is still on YouTube.com and still getting hundreds or thousands of views every month. That is going to result in more visitors to your URL next month and the month after that and the month after that. Your true return on investment is going to end up being many, many times the estimated $60 per hour over the future months.

Does earning $600/hour interest you more? Or $6,000 per hour? That is what can happen with leverage over time. That is how affiliates become super-affiliates. Instead of just buying penny traffic and sending it directly to a hoplink, super-affiliates put an opt-in page in the middle so they can build an asset (a list of email addressses). Then they increase their leverage even more by sending the traffic to a video or an article on someone else's popular web-site that shows popular videos or articles more often than less views articles or videos. It's like using levers or pulleys or gears to increase your leverage. Using one set of gears works magic to the bottom line. It multiplies your profits by some amount. But using two sets of gears is even more powerful. You end up multiplying your profits exponentially!

Remember that this technique can be used on many kinds of sites that allow user generated content to appear for free. Just look for a link on a popular site of that type for "Most Popular _____" and you know you have found a site where this leverage technique can work for you. Oh yeah. We still haven't told you the name of the company that sells this excellent penny traffic; have we?
